Time for a New Strategy

I walk my dogs on the same route every time we go for a walk. And every time we go for a walk, we pass a house where a very yippy dog resides. I don't know what kind of dog it is, but it is one of these designer mixes, like a cockapoo or maltipoo...aka an overpriced mutt.

Anyways, this dog sits on the back of a couch, where the front window is, and barks its little mutty head off every time we walk by. And every time this happens its owner yells the exact same thing:

Shut up!
Get out of the window!
No barking!

I'm not kidding, it is the exact same thing, every single time, in that order. This lady has her blinds pulled halfway up so that the dog has a perfect view of the outside world. If she doesn't want him in the window, why doesn't she just close the blinds? And why does she yell the same thing every time? It is clearly not working. Not once has the dog stopped barking at her command. The dog only stops when this lady picks the dog up and throws it off the couch. I want to leave her a note saying, "your dog training is obviously lacking something to be desired, please try a different tactic."

People are so strange.

  1. Einstien's definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
